HLSCC, Soweto to Collect Donation in Aid of Haiti |

H. Lavity Stoutt Community College will be joining with the Soweto Gospel Choir in collecting a donation in aid of the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Contributions can be made in any form at both the 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. concerts being held today at the College’s Paraquita Bay Auditorium. A similar effort is underway in neighbouring St. Thomas, USVI, where the group will be performing this weekend.
President of HLSCC, Dr. Karl Dawson, and the management of the Soweto Gospel Choir agreed that the initiative would be timely to aid in the recovery process in Haiti, where more than 100,000 people are feared dead.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out for the people of Haiti,” said Dr. Dawson. “We are therefore honoured to support this effort for our Caribbean neighbour, and trust that the people of the British Virgin Islands will join with us in this cause as well.”
Tickets for both concerts have been sold out.
