Born in Russia, Svetlana Gorokhovich received
her music training at the Kazan State Conservatory. She earned her Ph.D. from
St. Petersburg State Conservatory and, in 1989, immigrated to America where she
continued performing solo recitals, piano duos and chamber music concerts in
major concert halls in the United States, Italy, Japan, Iceland and Canada. She

highly sought-after teacher and coach.
“I am interested in discovering
students’ personalities and helping them release their fullest potential,” says
Gorokhovich. “I try to balance strictness and discipline with encouragement and
inspiration. My goal is to ignite a passion for music in students, so that
music becomes an integral part of their lives.”
Gorokhovich has previously performed in
the British Virgin Islands alongside her sister Liliya Khobotkova.
